Cubic Facades Achieves FIRAS Accreditation for Passive Fire Protection
We’re proud to share that Cubic Facades has officially achieved FIRAS accreditation for passive fire protection, following a successful audit. This is a significant milestone for us and reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering safe, compliant, and high-quality façade solutions across the UK.
What is FIRAS?
FIRAS (Fire Industry Registration Scheme) is a third-party certification operated by Warringtonfire, part of the Element Group. It is one of the UK’s most respected and rigorous schemes for companies involved in the installation and maintenance of passive fire protection systems, including fire stopping, cavity barriers, and intumescent coatings.
The scheme assesses not only the technical competence of operatives but also the management systems in place to ensure consistent quality, compliance, and traceability across all projects. Certified contractors undergo regular audits and site inspections, with each approved operative issued a FIRAS ID card outlining their individual competencies.
Why This Matters
As the construction industry continues to place greater emphasis on fire safety and accountability, FIRAS accreditation provides clear, independent assurance that a company’s work meets the highest possible standards.
For Cubic Facades, this achievement:
In a climate of increasing regulation and scrutiny, FIRAS accreditation enhances the level of trust we can offer to main contractors, developers, and clients alike.
A Collective Effort
Achieving certification is the result of careful preparation, technical expertise, and dedication across the business. We’re grateful to our site teams, operations staff, and compliance leads who worked hard to meet the rigorous standards required by FIRAS.
It’s an important step forward and a reflection of the professionalism and attention to detail we bring to every project.
Looking Ahead
At Cubic Facades, we believe safety, quality, and accountability should always go hand in hand. With FIRAS accreditation now part of our capability, we’re better positioned than ever to support clients in meeting modern building regulations without compromising on design, delivery, or integrity.
